Ah hah! Oh well, just got back from the old historic city of malacca. It wasnt that boring coz we had to walk all day to all those historic places. All those beautiful places were swarming with local and foreign tourists! For this trip, mom didnt follow us as she had to work. So, we bugged dad to take us to all of these historic places. He was actually there for this medical conference regarding neuroscience. The hotel smelled nice btw. Haha. Seriously!! In fact, in all those hotels i've stayed thru out my entire, i think this hotel is like paling wangi! We stayed in Renaissance btw. =)
The most funniest thing during the trip was that we actually got lost looking for stadhuys, st paul's church, and Jonker street.!! The reason was, we drove there without knowing that it was just behind our hotel!! And it was actually just a 15 mins walk to get there!! I was like soo geram! Well, i guess it was my fault for not asking the hotel where exactly were those places. All i did was asked for da map. I felt soo guilty! Poor dad, we were like going around in circles. Dahle all those jalan in malacca are like one ways. Tsk, tsk. Note to self, next time, do ask first!! 0__o
Thru out this whole trip, it was just me and and monkeys mostly. Kinda fun in a way. Its like those sisterhood and brotherhood bonding sessions. Its like, i walk infront coz i had all those valuable items in my back pack and sis walks after me, them bro looking out for us from the back. While we were in Jonker Street last nite, the three of us were holding hands coz takut ter-split up. There soo many humans!!! It was sooo freaking packed! 95 percent were chinese. To think of it, Jonker Street reminded me soo much about Pattaya and Khao San road back in Thailand. I miss thailand. It was the best holiday gift i got for sem 1's performance. =) All tho shopping in Bandung was not dat bad. =p
OOh, while we were in one of the malls in malacca near the stadhuys, i noticed a first hand demonstration towards the government. There were shouting "reformasi" and the demonstration was because of the fuel hike. Police officers were armed with barrels of tear gas and they had those baseball bats in their hands. It was sooo hectic!
